My shoot for Attitude Clothing Co. has come out! So exciting, it looks brilliant, i'm so happy with it.

Its a 4 page spread, lookbook style shoot showcasing some wicked summer gothic fashion, so its pretty apt for this hot weather we're having at the moment.

Here I am with my copy, I love getting my publications 'in the flesh' its a great feeling

Great British Tattoo Show Day 2

I can't believe its been over a week since the show! I'm missing London already I do love it there.
A fantastic video of our fashion show has been uploaded by the awesome LatexGirlsHD who I've been working with quite alot lately :) and will be again in the near future!

The second day of the Tattoo Show was more relaxed for me, I had got into the swing of things and even given into the temptation and got myself a new tattoo! I had seen a stunning sinking ship design by Holly Dixon from Inkognito tattoo in Accrington, definitely worth a visit if you're based up North, her designs are lovely and the tattoo looks so good!

I was staying in the same hotel as the Gorgeous Bex Fisher who was also in the Fetasia show with me :) and she has branched out into photography so we managed to squeeze in a little shoot in the hotel which was great! Heres a little sample of the results of that shoot :) Go and check her out at Bambi Bella

The Organizers of the Great British Tattoo Show had the genius idea of putting giant beanbags around for us to lounge on! :) I was so tired after the shows were all over but I did have some lovely chill out time in the sun at the after party in the bar!

Since Last Monday I have had a couple of well earned duvet days :D and am looking forward to my next London trip in July.

Great British Tattoo Show Day 1

I have finally summoned the energy to begin a blog post about this weekend just gone, I had a wonderful time in London for The Great British Tattoo Show. I was modelling for Fetasia Latex in a catwalk show, which is pretty much my favourite past time, I love the catwalk

We headed down to London and Edmonton Travelodge, it was a dreary day and the view from our window was rather drab to say the least.

The hotel had just had brand new Sleepeasy beds put in, so I had a darn good nights sleep! We had a little wander round Edmonton and found a takeaway to eat on the floor of our hotel room.

On the first day of the show we met up with a couple of the other models and headed to Alexandra Palace which was massive and bursting with people. It was such great event, I loved looking at all the tattoo artists doing their thing and the stunning classic cars on show. I found my perfect car.

The Fetasia show was at 3.30 on the first day, I was modelling a Sally dress from the Nightmare Before Christmas, all the models looked wicked and were such fun to work with, I loved seeing my gorgeous girls Collette Von Tora and Betty Havok again.

Here is the fashion show line up, i'm in bright yellow and orange, a long way from my usual style but it was so much fun to wear.

I stepped out onto the catwalk alongside the beautiful Dakota Hunt as Jack, and the audience was massive! This shot was taken just as we took to the stage, it gives some idea of the audience size, and how stunning Alexandra Palace is.

Myself and Dakota playing Jack and Sally

The show went down really well and i just loved wearing the Sally dress, day 2 blog post coming later

Attitude clothing shoot

Last Friday I was back in London again shooting for attitude clothing. It was a great shoot and one that'd been in pipeline for a while.
I was up bright and early at 6.15 to get ready and head for my train, I was off to White Womb Studio, the team from The Alternative Marketing Co. were lovely and the outfits I got to model were just awesome!!

It was fun being all 'goth' again, I haven't done a Gothic styled shoot for a year at least, and it was nice to do it again and the outfits were very much my kind of thing.
The makeup artist did a great job making me look completely different.

The photographer was the awesome Danny Sambuca, here is a peek at the back of the camera, looking great already.

After the shoot I did a video interview which will be edited in with footage of the shoot, I'm looking forward to seeing that, as much as I hate hearing my own voice!
Keep your eyes peeled for these shots, there's going to be some crackers!

Pole Dancing and Chest Infections

I've been battling with a chest infection for almost two weeks now, I just can't shift the last of it, that plus my day job have meant things have been quiet on the Ruby Jewel front these last few weeks.

I had my pole class on Monday, after missing three due to illness! (I need a new immune system) and I am really happy to see some progress! On my splits based moves and holds

Another Trip to London

Last weekend I was London bound again for a series of fun events and frolics with friends. I'd been ill for a week beforehand so I was really looking forward to having some fun.
I started off on Friday afternoon with a shoot with Ben Hopper, we've been trying to arrange something for months so it was great to finally get it done, I went to Bens studio in Hackney Wick, which was a really interesting place, an old industrial estate taken over by artists.
After that I headed over to Kash R Photography's place where I was staying along with Emilia Vile and Alice Bizarre, after a spot of dinner and abit of time to relax we were ready and off again to Antichrist.

It was the Religious Depravity party which I was the poster girl for and I wore my Fetasia Latex nuns outfit on the night, I had alot of compliments on it and people recognized me from the flyer which was lovely.
I had a fab night and bumped into lots of friends.

Here I am looking abit gormless with the gorgeous Whiplash and Emilia Vile and a bony gentleman in a cage ;)

We headed back via MacDonalds for a few hours sleep before an early rise for a group shoot at Murder Mile Studios, I've wanted to shoot there for ages, as they have some wicked sets.
It was quite a small group, with me, Emilia, Maja Stina, Luna Eve and Princess Flower modelling and photographers Nick Atkins, Kash R, Tony Brown and Cole Black filming for LatexGirlsHD
Luna Eve is also the creative behind Am Statik Latex and she brought a load with her for us to model so I was like a kid in a candy shop!
Especially getting to wear her Ponycorn outfit which was a total dream come true! I've loved it for ages.

The models, (from left) - Princess Flower, Maja Stina, me, Emilia Vile and Luna Eve

The models posing with Kash at the end

Once shooting was over it was time to head back home, I didn't get in till almost midnight and with only 4 hours sleep the previous night, I was completely knackered and slept most of Sunday too.

Bring on the next London visit

Disney and Beauty shoot

So today was my first major shoot of the year after a bit of a break in January, I was itching to get back into it today, I don't think I'll leave it that long again.
I headed to Shropshire to shoot with Salleh Sparrow, along with Hair by Hedrock and makeup by Sophie Bebb, the first part of the day was a Disney villain themed shoot, where I was playing captain Hook.

Such a glamorous life I lead!

Gotta love a head full of rollers and face full of slap! Classic.

The Hook outfit was amazing, including a Jacket by Lovechild Boudoir and gorgeous leg harnesses by Louise McKay, and my suede over the knee boots finished it off so well.

I also got to wear Sallehs disco pants and oh my god! I need to get some of those so comfy and the look amazing!
We went to a stunning location with some nautical props for the first part and it was the most vile weather, I got soaked walking from the car to the house and my boots covered in mud! But it was all worth it

The full Hook outfit, it was definitely worth getting, wet, cold and muddy to achieve the end result of this.
We did eventually retreat back to the home studio to do some beauty shots, which was a tad more comfortable.
Sophie Bebb's amazing makeup really packs a punch in these shots.

I was lucky to have a really smooth train journey to Shropshire and back, relying on trains can be horrible sometimes but luckily not today, having a huge bag of Maltesers to myself certainly helped.
Here is my post shoot face about to go for the train and scare the Sunday passengers.

What do I hope to achieve in 2013

I have been thinking about whether I want to do one of these 'New Years Resolution' posts, I don't really like the idea of them, but, there are things I am going to fight to achieve this year.
I hope I can look back at this post this time next year and be in a much better place.
Here they are, in no particular order.

  1. Finally get in control of my Anxiety and Depression disorders that have been plaguing me for years, I understand that they'll never go away completely, but I need to be the one in control of them, not them in control of me! I can do it. (this is not something I really ever speak about and not many people are aware of the issues I have with it)
  2. Earn some money in 2012 I didn't really make any profit at all, I was doing a college course and putting in the groundwork for my career (s) this year needs to change.
  3. Move into my own flat I am dying to get my own place, however modest it may be, it'll be mine.
  4. Keep up with my modelling I am so happy with what I have achieved in 2012 in my modelling career and I want to continue at that level through 2013, I don't believe I've reached my peak with it yet.
  5. Get back into Pole Dancing Ever since I suffered a pole - related injury over a year ago I haven't got back to the level I should be at, I haven't been able to afford lessons and although I have my own pole I've been really slack! I aim to be more motivated to practice regularly and keep up with my stretching and strength exercises to keep me in good condition.
  6. Pass my driving test and get a car The getting a car part may be harder than I am hoping, but I aim to at least pass my test this year, no matter how many attempts it may take, I know I can do it.
  7. Read more I want to read a lot more than I have this year, I think it's important to expand my knowledge about the things I love.
  8. Do more of my Illustration/Artwork Since I gained my degree in Illustration I haven't really progressed any further with it. I want to change that this year, push myself to produce the kind of work I am capable of and maybe even start an online shop.
  9. Work with more talented people I really hope that I get to work with more creatives, photographers, models, designers and artists, as well as continuing collaborations with those I worked with last year, I think I have the potential to do so much more in collaboration with some super talented people.
  10. Make an effort to see Friends more often and make some new friends Friendship is the most important thing in the world and this year I hope to see more of the people I consider friends and make some new friends too.

Here I am on New Years Eve, hopefully the start of a positive year!
